## Converting CM to Inches in Excel: 2 Methods

This is the dataset that I am going to use to demonstrate the methods. I have some students along with their heights in centimeters. I will convert these heights to inches. Let’s move to the methods.

### 1. Divide CM by 2.54 to Convert CM into Inches

The relation between centimeter and inch is as follows
1 inch = 2.54 cm

So, we can convert from centimeter to inch by dividing the number (in cm) by 2.54

Steps:

• Go to cell D5. Write down the formula

### 2. Apply CONVERT Function for Converting CM to Inches

Now I will use the CONVERT function to convert centimeters to inches.

Steps:

• Go to cell D5 and write down the following formula
