  • First, apply the following formula based on the SUM function on Cell D5.
=SUM(B5:C5)

  • Now, put this formula on Cell D7.
=B5/$D$5 

Apply formula to calculate percentage share

  • Press the Enter button.

We get the percentage share of boys.

  • Put the below formula to get the percentage share of girls.
=C5/$D$5 

  • Again, press the Enter button.

1. Calculate the Amount of Profit Using a Percentage Share

In this article, we will show how to calculate the amount of percentage share from the total.

Here, we have taken a dataset. It contains the total profit and the percentage share of variable X. We need to calculate the amount of profit of X.
