What if you feel the Scroll Lock in On but Excel Status Bar is not Showing It?

Sometimes it happens that you have Scroll Lock ON but in Excel Status Bar it does not show. In the below image, I’m pressing the Down Arrow key but neither Active Cell changes nor Status Bar shows Scroll Lock.

In this case, it happens because the Scroll Lock option is not selected to show in the Excel Status Bar.

How to show the Scroll Lock in the Status Bar?

Place the cursor on the Excel Status Bar and Right-Click => Customize Status Bar menu will appear. You see that the Scroll Lock option is on but it is not checked, this is why Scroll Lock status is not showing in the status bar.

Check (select) the Scroll Lock option => Now, you can see the Scroll Lock status is showing on the Status Bar area.

Conclusion

These are overall ways you can Turn Off the Scroll Lock Option in Excel. Hope you find one or two convenient ways to use the methods mentioned above. Do you know any other methods? Or did you find any type of errors with the article? Let us know in the comment box. Thanks for reading our blog.
