How to Change Excel Column Width in Pixels (3 Easy Methods)

 

Method 1 – Change the Column Width with the Mouse

  • We want to change the width of column C.
  • Put the mouse cursor between column C and column D.

  • The mouse pointer will change like in the picture given below.
  • Left-click and hold.
  • Excel will show the width in pixels.
  • Drag the cursor to the right or left.

  • After adjusting the column width, release the mouse button.


Method 2 – Utilize the Excel Autofit Option to Change the Column Width

  • Take the cursor between column C and column D.
  • The cursor sign will change like in the picture below.
  • Double-click.

Method 3 – Copy the Width from One Column to Another

  • Select a column. In our case, the column is B.
  • Copy the column by the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + C or by using the context menu.

  • Choose the Paste Special option.

  • The Paste Special box will appear.
  • Select Column widths and click OK.
