1. Using Print Area Feature to Print Blank Excel Sheet with Lines
In this method, I will show you how to print a blank Excel sheet with lines using the Print Area feature.
Let’s see the steps.
Steps:
- Firstly, select the cells that you want to print.
- Secondly, go to the Page Layout tab from the Ribbon.
- Thirdly, select Print Area.
Now, you will see a drop-down menu will appear.
- After that, select Set Print Area from the drop-down menu.
Here, you will see that your selected cells have been set as Print_Area.
- Now, go to the Page Layout tab again.
- Next, select Sheet Options.
- Finally, check the Print option from Gridlines.
Now, I will check the Print Preview.
- Firstly, go to the File tab.
- Secondly, select Print.
Here, in the Print Preview, you will see that Excel will now print blank sheets with lines.

2. Employing Page Layout Tab to Print a Blank Sheet with Lines
In this second method, I will show you how to print a blank Excel sheet with lines by employing Page Setup.
Let’s see the steps.
Steps:
- First, go to the Page Layout tab.
- Secondly, select the dialog box option from Page Setup.
Now, you will see a dialog box named Page Setup will appear.
- Firstly, go to the Sheet tab
- Secondly, select the marked button to select the Print Area.
- After that, select the cells that you want to print.
- Next, select the marked button to add the selected cells to your Print Area.
- After that, check the Gridlines option from Print.
- Finally, select Print Preview.
Here, in the Print Preview, you will see that the blank sheet with lines has been printed.

3. Using Print Option to Print Blank Sheet with Lines

Let’s see the steps.
Steps:
- Firstly, select the cell range that you want to print.
- Secondly, go to the File tab.
- Thirdly, select Print.
- Now, select the marked drop-down option from Settings to set the Print Area.
- After that, select Print Selection from the drop-down menu.
- Next, select Page Setup.
Now, you will see a dialog box named Page Setup has appeared on the screen.
- Firstly, go to the Sheet tab.
- Secondly, check the Gridlines option from Print.
- Finally, select OK.
In the Print Preview, you will see that Excel will now print your blank sheets with lines.
